Our Story

It all began with a little boy named Matteo.

Though he never took a breath in this world, his presence shaped mine forever.

Matteo was my son—carried with love, dreamed of deeply, and lost far too soon.

His light lives on in me, and now, in this space.

After losing him, I longed for a space where my grief didn’t have to be explained.

Where I could just exist in the in-between, between joy and sorrow, love and longing.

A space where remembrance was welcomed, not avoided.

That longing became Little Lights by the Horizon.

This is a space for loss parents.

For the ones who whisper names into quiet nights.

For those who never got to hold their baby—but hold them still, every single day.

Our Mission

At Little Lights by the Horizon, our mission is to create soft, sacred spaces where grief is honored, stories are held, and love continues.

We exist for loss parents—for those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, infant or child loss—and for the hearts that continue to carry what the world cannot always see. This space was created so no parent has to navigate that pain alone.

Here, we believe grief doesn’t need fixing. It needs witnessing.

Through virtual and in-person gatherings, creative journaling tools, memory wall offerings, and gentle community, we offer connection rooted in compassion, not expectation.

Whether your loss was recent or long ago, whether your grief is loud or quietly tucked away, Little Lights by the Horizon is here to remind you:

You are not alone. Your baby is remembered. And your love is forever.
